[The Hobson\u2019s Bay Leader\u00a0 ran an article about Thrive<\/em>]<\/a><\/p>\n Psychopomp High is a complex story with all the fluff of teen romance and yet all the dark and gritty details of life and death. It’s a surprisingly pleasant mix that you’ll have to try for yourself.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n Despite the somberness of the premise\u2013dead teenagers! amnesia! revenge!\u2013Psychopomp High<\/em> is a breezy, sincere addition to the visual novel genre, with an intriguing hint of darkness underneath the bright colors.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n I was interviewed on the Channel 31 show Behind The Words here<\/a>.<\/p>\n I was interviewed about my writing here<\/a>.<\/p>\n I was quoted in a Sydney Morning Herald article\u00a0about controversies surrounding the fanfiction background of the\u00a050 Shades of Grey<\/em>\u00a0series.<\/a><\/p>\n IO9\u00a0says of an essay I wrote<\/a>: “Mary Borsellino’s “Your Heart is a Weapon the Size of Your Fist” draws some lovely analogy between love as a political act in The Hunger Games and in George Orwell’s 1984 (even if she conflates dystopian with post-apocalyptic)”. Which as far as criticisms go, is one I can live with.<\/p>\n Gawker\u00a0quoted part of a story I wrote<\/a>\u00a0in their article about fanfiction based on\u00a0The Social Network<\/em>.<\/p>\n I have occasionally been a guest on the JOY 94.9 program\u00a0Sci-Fi and Squeam<\/a>, which has been a wonderful chance to talk about scary and excellent things.<\/p>\n The JOY 94.9 radio program The Outland Institute interviewed me about my “Boy and Girl Wonders: Robin in Cultural Context” for episode one of their show. I returned as a guest in episode four to defend the HBO show ‘True Blood’ in a debate.\u00a0Listen to podcasts here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Professor Henry Jenkins interviewed me about my “Boy and Girl Wonders” zine.<\/a><\/p>\n Working Writers interviewed me about my Wolf House young adult novel series.<\/a><\/p>\n The Age newspaper quoted me in an article about Star Wars fans.<\/a><\/p>\n The Spring 2007 issue of\u00a0Bitch<\/i>\u00a0magazine includes the article “Cold Shoulder: Saving superheroines from comic-book violence”, which contains a number of quotes from me.<\/a><\/p>\n The Spring 2008 issue of\u00a0Bitch<\/i>\u00a0includes “Whack Attack: Giving the finger to blog bandits”, an article which I was interviewed for.<\/a><\/p>\n The CW Source has done an article about my\u00a0Supernatural<\/em>\u00a0interviews.<\/a><\/p>\n YEN magazine ran an article about sexism in comics, and interviewed me for it.<\/a><\/p>\n Sequential Tart ran an interview with me, focused on my comics academia.<\/a><\/p>\nPress and Media<\/h5>\n
